Over the past few weeks the weather here in New York has been pretty “brisk”. As in freezing. Averaging about 10 degrees F. Brrrr.
But my business took me on a trip which offered a bit of a reprieve from the cold. Sunny Southern California. Carlsbad to be exact. For those that don’t know, that was about a 35 minute drive north from the San Diego airport. I flew in on a Sunday and when I got there the sky was completely blue and around 68 degrees F. Yeah – very nice.
So of course, the first thing I did after checking into my hotel was go find a beach to run on. Let me share a few pictures…
So I did nice leisurely 3 mile run without my music – I figure the sound of the ocean would be music enough. I was right 😉
As much as I enjoyed the trip, I am glad to be back home. I took some of the nice weather home with me. It hit 50 degrees F today.
You’re welcome, New Yorkers!
Another milestone, which is something we should all shoot for. I have a daily goal of 10,000 steps. Even on the days I flew to and from I hit my goal. In fact, I hit that 14 days in a row. The steps are cumulative of my day. I don’t just track my exercise. I track my day. It all counts. But the tracking also helps to motivate and remind me as well. For example, as of this writing I have 9312 steps down. So back to the treadmill to get the rest of the steps I need.
Keep on moving!
